at Ramboll Americas Engineering Solutions, Inc. in Chicago, Illinois, United States Job Description Energy Engineer - Ramboll Americas Engineering Solutions, Inc. (Chicago, IL): Conduct investigative energy assessments and audits to identify energy and cost savings measures. Perform utility billing and interval data analysis, and energy benchmarking. Develop custom spreadsheet calculators and analysis tools for energy efficiency measures (EEMs), and conduct spreadsheet analysis to estimate energy and cost savings of proposed EEMs. Develop construction cost estimates for EEMs and determine economic results (e.g., life cycle cost analysis). Utilize eQuest and EnergyPlus building energy simulation modeling software to assess the potential savings of EEMs in existing facilities and optimize energy performance of new construction and renovation projects. Perform Measurement & Verification (M&V) activities including data analysis. Support company design engineers and construction managers in implementing energy efficiency projects. Participate in the development of Clean Energy Master Plans and Decarbonization plans. Support building commissioning activities to ensure that all energy efficient systems are installed and operating correctly.
