JOB SUMMARY

The Generator Specialist is responsible for the installation of industrial generators of all makes and models and a variety of sizes, troubleshoots commercial and industrial diesel/natural gas generators, including automatic transfer switches, batteries and load-bank testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Install generators based on accepted Load Calc information. Run load bank tests on natural gas and propane generators. Diagnose and repair any issues found during initial testing. Perform voltage changes on generators based on requirements. Re-wire, adjust and install control panels and voltage regulators. Assist in preparing generators for installation, as needed. Assist with warehouse organization, parts deliveries, etc. Plan, coordinate and execute work safely and effectively. Keep detailed and accurate records of installations. Provide timely and responsive customer service. Follow all safety guidelines related to operating and maintenance of high-voltage equipment. Other duties related to position, as assigned by supervisor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED Prior electrical experience preferred Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations Knowledge of safety standards and procedures Ability to work independently Excellent communication and customer service skills Valid state issued driver's license
