  • Industrial Position Description The Senior Quotations Specialist is responsible for preparing technically accurate, competitive quotations for custom designed Radyne equipment and related industrial engineering solutions.
This role works closely with Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management to develop cost estimates and define scope, for contracts prior to finalization. Duties include Evaluating Requests for quote and developing equipment proposals. Becoming an expert in the theory and application of induction heating and its subsystems. Establish and maintain effective business relationships with customers & potential customers. Become a resource for them. Evaluate customer technical requirements and clearly define the scope of the customer project proposal. Collaborate as a teammate with the Field Sales Team to acquire missing information. Assess and qualify customer; technical, financial & emotional motivation prior to sale to ensure a successful partnership. Learn and follow the Radyne sales process. Including use of the Radyne CRM Attend and contribute to order review, release and design review meetings. Maintain communication between the customer and internal staff on orders in progress. Work with Marketing and Sales to monitor competition, gather current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc. Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments. Membership in certain Industrial Trade Organizations and participation in their events. Collaborate with other Inductotherm Group Personnel. Participate in select Customer Visits
  • in areas of expertise to aid Sales staff presenting proposals.
Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with relevant estimating and proposal development experience 5+ years of experience in a corporate sales environment Knowledge of Heat-treating processes a big plus Degree in material science or equivalent work experience in material sciences a plus Automation Quotation/Estimation Work Experience a big plus Excellent written and verbal skills. Technical, Creative and Detail Oriented Skilled in Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint 10
