Engineering Intern

Job Description Position Purpose:

This internship position supports the New Incineration Project by doing field validation versus the Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and assisting in the development of the Lockout / Tagout (LOTO) procedures for the isolation of hazardous energy from equipment. Working collaboratively with engineering and maintenance teams, the intern will help create an organized, easily accessible digital library of Lockout / Tagout procedures. Responsibilities:

Education:

Pursuing degree in Engineering, Safety, or related field with similar coursework fundamentals.

Technical Knowledge:

Fundamental understanding of LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and the process of isolating hazardous energy from equipment. Ability to read a P&ID (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams).

Key Skills:

Strong attention to detail, organizational abilities, interest in industrial automation, and ability to read technical documentation

Responsibilities:

Interns are considered temporary employees. Medical and basic life insurance coverage is available to temporary employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week immediately following 60 days of service.
