Job Description

The OpportunityA fast-growing, entrepreneurial renewable energy platform is seeking a highly motivated Project Finance Associate / Senior Associate to support the evaluation, sale, and financing of distributed energy projects (solar + storage).This individual will play a key role in project valuation, transaction execution, and capital structuring, working closely with internal development teams and external investors. The position offers strong exposure to renewable energy investing, development, and financing within a collaborative, high-growth environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Sales & FinancingsSupport execution of project sales and financing processes for renewable energy assetsBuild and manage detailed financial models and pro formasConduct bid pricing and valuation analysis for competitive sale processesCoordinate due diligence efforts across internal teams and external partners (lenders, investors, consultants, legal)Assist in managing third-party reports (e.g., engineering, insurance, market studies)Contribute to transaction execution from initial diligence through closingProject Valuation & Investment AnalysisDevelop and maintain valuation models for solar and storage assetsAnalyze project returns across a range of scenarios and market conditionsSupport investment decision-making and development strategyProvide insights on market entry, risk/return tradeoffs, and capital optimizationQualificationsBachelor's degree required (advanced degree a plus)3-5+ years of finance experience, including at least 2 years in renewable project financeStrong financial modeling and quantitative analysis skillsExperience evaluating solar and/or energy storage assetsUnderstanding of key value drivers in project finance and energy marketsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environmentAdditional AttributesHighly analytical with strong attention to detailSelf-starter with a high degree of ownership and accountabilityStrong communication and presentation skillsCollaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionallyHigh level of integrity and professionalismAbout the CompanyOur client is a rapidly expanding developer and investor in distributed renewable energy projects across the United States.
