Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree plus at least four years of relevant experience, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least eight years OR a master's degree in electrical engineering and at least 2 relevant job experiences (internships qualify). Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment Experience with developing prototype systems and algorithms Experience with MRI and/or fMRI data (human data preferred) Experience with high resolution and high field MRI and/or fMRI Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Strong time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Python, Pytorch, LLM, Docker, Github Experience with computational software and cluster environments. Experience with MRI data acquisition The University of Minnesota's Center for Magnetic Resonance Research (CMRR) (http://www.cmrr.umn.edu/) has an opening for a Research Professional with experience in developing reconstruction pipelines for fMRI. The work will be done on Siemens MRI Scanners (e.g. 3T, 7T, and/or 10.5T) which will require integrating open-source tools with high performance computing for developing a prototype acquisition and reconstruction package. The Research Professional will also be involved with and test any combination of technologies that are used at CMRR, including high performance gradients, high channel count coils, and/or field monitoring cameras.
Work Arrangement:
The position is expected to work on-site more than 50% of the time. Your work location will be at the CMRR. The Department retains the right to modify flexible work arrangement agreements on a temporary or permanent basis for any reason at any time.
Work Schedule:
Work hours will total 40 hours per week. There will be no overtime.
Responsibilities:
50% - Develop, optimize and test open-source tools for human MRI/fMRI applications. 30% - reconstruct high field fMRI/MRI data in human subjects. 20% - Analyze fMRI/MRI data and interpret results, including preparing figures for publication.
