Job Description

Research Engineer II Berry Aviation United States, Oklahoma, Stillwater May 14, 2026 Description Summary The UAS Research Engineer will have the opportunity to work on a variety of UAS prototypes and production platforms for military and commercial applications. The Research Engineer will be responsible for assisting or running projects and programs with the design, simulation, development, construction, integration, component testing and maintenance of UAS platforms.
Responsibilities:
Develop timeline and work schedule in order to meet deadlines. Work independently to determine methods and procedures for projects. Design and develop UAS platforms, subsystems, and components. Use machine shop and laboratory tools (including soldering electronics). Develop test plans for lab, ground, and flight environments. Develop documentation for integration guides, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications of UAS.
Qualifications Qualifications Required:
Bachelors Degree in relevant Engineering Field. Proficiency in the following: Microsoft Office Suite CAD (Solidworks) MathCAD or MATLAB Experience in the following: Prototyping Autopilot Configuration
UAS Integration Preferred:
Masters Degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering 2+ years of UAS engineering experience UAS Ground Station Operations experience UAS Piloting Experience Part 107 License Physical Demands/Travel Required use of machining tools Ability to work in a manufacturing/lab environment Ability to work outdoors for extended periods (hot and cold) Support short notice travel within Oklahoma for flight testing/operations Support short notice CONUS travel for flight demo/operations Potential for OCONUS travel Berry Aviation, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunity in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.
