Job Description

Tent Engineering is a team of engineers and project managers focused on providing professional engineering services for renewable energy projects in the biogas industry. Tent works on a wide variety of biogas projects, including biogas generated from landfills, dairies, wastewater treatment facilities, and food waste/organics recycling. Tent provides full-service engineering services from feasibility to design through ongoing operations engineering on projects such as: Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) facilities, renewable power generation, biogas treatment, and biogas collection. We are looking for an entry-level, self-motivated Engineer 1 to join our growing team at our Bend, OR office to support mechanical and process engineering design for renewable biogas projects.
What you will be doing:
You will be working in an exciting and constantly changing environment consistent with small and dynamic engineering firms. You will work with Tent's experienced project managers to support renewable energy projects and gain experience across multiple project phases.
Responsibilities will include:
Support mechanical and process design for biogas projects Prepare drawings, calculations, equipment specifications, and technical reports Coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams Become familiar with other engineering disciplines while working as a part of the team Adapting to changing project needs and priorities Continuously learning and developing technical skills Growing with a small, specialized engineering team Travel occasionally to project sites across the U.S. If you are self-motivated, adaptable, eager to learn, and are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, Tent Engineering is a great place for you. Requirements BS in Mechanical Engineering, or similar engineering field Interest in renewable energy, biogas, or process/mechanical systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability and willingness to travel Preferred Skills and Attributes Willingness to Learn Adaptability and Flexibility Technical Writing Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills As an engineering firm located in the outdoor mecca of Bend, OR, Tent offers a unique company culture with a commitment to maintaining a positive work/life experience.
