Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Geothermal Drilling Intern and immerse yourself in the exciting world of renewable energy and sustainable engineering. This paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in geothermal drilling operations, supporting innovative projects that harness Earth's natural heat for clean energy production. You will work alongside experienced drillers and technical specialists, contributing to the planning, design, and execution of drilling activities that push the boundaries of sustainable energy technology. This role is perfect for motivated students or recent graduates eager to develop their skills in project management, mechanical systems, geology, and systems engineering within a fast-paced, environmentally impactful industry. Duties Assist with project scheduling and coordination of geothermal drilling activities to ensure timely execution of project milestones Support the preparation and review of technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and SolidWorks Contribute to system design and analysis tasks related to wellbore stability, casing design, and drilling equipment specifications Participate in manufacturing and fabrication processes for drilling components, ensuring adherence to quality standards and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles Help troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues through root cause analysis and debugging techniques involving programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other control systems Support maintenance activities by assisting with equipment inspections, system diagnostics, and safety protocols aligned with lean manufacturing principles Requirements Basic understanding of project scheduling tools and techniques for managing complex tasks in construction or manufacturing environments Familiarity or willing to learn with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation or SolidWorks for technical drawing creation and review Knowledge of mechanical design principles, fabrication processes, and system integration practices Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and debugging on mechanical or electrical systems Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced settings Demonstrated interest in renewable energy technologies or geothermal energy projects is preferred This paid internship provides an excellent platform to develop your technical expertise while contributing to groundbreaking sustainable energy solutions.
