Loads & Dynamics Engineer Segula Technologies - 3.1 Dallas, TX Job Details Full-time 19 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering Data Integration (Data management) Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) 5 years Master's degree in aerospace engineering Engineering Regulatory compliance Mechanical Engineering Aerospace Engineering Master's degree Databases Analysis skills Database management Master's degree in mechanical engineering Senior level Regulatory compliance management Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering Full Job Description Integrate data from multiple flight science disciplines to evaluate forces experienced by the aircraft using reduced-order models Analyze aircraft behavior considering rigid body dynamics, structural dynamics, and aeroelastic effects when required Define external load envelopes representing summed aircraft forces along reference axis systems Develop external load cross-plots showing resultant loads in multiple directions Define control surface loads and support flight control evaluations Develop aerodynamic load distributions and pressure distributions using: CFD data Wind tunnel testing Flight pressure measurements Define acceleration envelopes required for inertial load sizing and structural assessments Support aircraft structural sizing and certification activities Ensure airworthiness requirement traceability and regulatory compliance Maintain and support Loads Database Management activities Collaborate with structures, stress, aerodynamics, and certification teams throughout the program lifecycle Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in aircraft loads, dynamics, flight sciences, structural dynamics, or related aerospace engineering functions. Strong understanding of aircraft loads analysis, aerodynamic loads, inertial loads, structural dynamics, aeroelastic effects, and aircraft certification requirements. Experience working with CFD data, wind tunnel data, flight test data, or loads database management is preferred. Must be eligible for Canadian Controlled Goods security clearance.
