Job Description

Actalent is currently seeking a qualified Energy Conservation Engineer for a position in Spoke, WA. This Energy Conservation Engineer position resides in the Energy Conservation Services Group (PEJ) within the Power Services (P) business line at Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). BPA Energy Conservation advances the efficient use of energy throughout the Pacific Northwest by working with utility customers, trade allies, industry, and other partners. This engineering position will support BPA and our customers in meeting the conservation targets throughout the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities Provide engineering and technical expertise on energy conservation projects within service teams. Perform outreach and customer service duties to develop and implement energy conservation projects. Create new measure offerings, perform measurement and verification, and provide technical guidance. Visit utilities and end-users to develop project recommendations and solve energy conservation problems. Present and promote the energy conservation program to various audiences including utilities and federal agencies. Serve as part of a team advancing energy conservation offerings for various applications. Design, model, and analyze mechanical systems for review and approval. Analyze systems and processes using principles like heat transfer and thermodynamics for improvements. Verify and document equipment installation and system performance against defined objectives. Conduct energy savings calculations and create energy models using data analysis methodologies. Identify, develop, and manage energy conservation projects with oversight from project managers. Verify customer satisfaction with project progress and completion. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in engineering is required. Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred. Manufacturing / industrial degrees or a directly related technical/engineering degree will be considered. A combined experience of 2 years or more in all of the following areas: Experience auditing, modeling, and analyzing mechanical systems. Experience analyzing systems and processes with heat transfer, fluid dynamic, and thermodynamic principals for energy conservation improvements. Experience with energy savings calculations, energy models (i.e. Energy Plus) and data analysis methodologies. Project management experience. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Spokane, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
