This role is responsible for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while driving client relationships, strategic growth, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in industrial and construction environments, experience with self-perform work, and the ability to align project execution with company objectives. Key Responsibilities Provide executive leadership for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, financial targets, and client expectations. Develop and maintain strong client relationships; act as the primary executive point of contact to secure repeat business and identify new opportunities. Oversee project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, change management, and margin protection. Drive execution excellence on self-perform activities by coordinating internal craft resources, optimizing schedules, and ensuring quality workmanship. Collaborate with operations, estimating, safety, procurement, and commercial teams to develop realistic project plans and mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards across all projects and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor and develop project managers and site leadership, fostering a high-performance culture and succession planning. Lead contract negotiations, claims resolution, and dispute management to protect company interests and preserve client relationships. Monitor project schedules and resource allocation, intervening proactively to remove obstacles and accelerate critical path items. Report project status, financial performance, and key risks to senior leadership and stakeholders on a regular basis. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in industrial or heavy construction, including demonstrated success managing large, complex projects. Proven track record with self-perform operations, including planning, resourcing, and delivering craft-led scopes of work. Strong commercial acumen with experience in project controls, budgeting, contract management, and change order negotiation. Excellent client-facing skills with a history of building and maintaining executive-level relationships and securing repeat work. Demonstrated leadership and team development skills, with experience mentoring project managers and site teams. Familiarity with industry safety standards and regulatory requirements; commitment to promoting a strong safety culture. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
