Team Overview:
Our Branch Design & Innovation team within the firm's Enterprise design function designs coherent, delightful, human-centered branch experiences that empowers Financial Advisors and Branch Teams to do their best work - so they can serve clients with confidence, efficiency, and trust, today and into the future. The team brings together expertise in design and UX strategy, research, prototyping, and UX production design - turning insight and strategy into impactful, executable solutions.What You'll Do:
As the Design Team Leader, you are responsible for planning, directing, and leading a multi-disciplinary team of associates and contractors responsible for practices that will design and deliver strategies and experiences that meet or exceed documented business and design outcomes. In this role, you will also contribute to the development of design capabilities and creating and scaling a culture of design at Edward Jones. Here are a few key responsibilities you will be a part of: Lead and directly manages the performance of a multi-disciplinary design team focused on holistic financial service experiences on enterprise-wide priorities. Manage design frameworks and evaluates toolkits and best practices to meet the firm's needs Integrate design strategy into current processes (Firm PMO, Strategy Lifecycle, IS UX, Mobility, DevOps, etc.) Lead/manage and coordinate sponsor user engagement for design projects and ensures project quality and execution Implement communication, enablement and activation plan for design; creates and manages materials that advocate for design both internally and externally Continually seek and incorporate best practices from across design capabilities. Proactively share insights, design, and outcomes from their team to the broader Enterprise Design organization Contribute to the development of a world-class design culture at Edward Jones and design capability development Manage design spaces, materials, and tools to meet team needs and firm requirements Manage backlog of design sprints and ad hoc training for their design teamWhat Experience You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in a field of Design, Science, or Engineering or equivalent discipline 5+ years of relevant design or design thinking experience, including: 2+ years of design leadership experience directly managing designers Demonstrated ability to deliver design experiences to market, in collaboration with designers of other disciplines and in coordination with other functions in an organization. Demonstrated ability to directly lead, inspire, and develop teams of senior individual contributors. Experience in operations strategy including but not limited to: business & process modeling, operations transformation, sales and operations planning Advanced skills in one's discipline for designing prototypes of appropriate fidelity for learning and delivery. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, building relationships at all levels of the organization, and effectively tailoring messaging and approach to multiple audiences Proficiency in design tools, design methodologies, and systems thinking Knowledge of and experimentation with emerging design trends and technology related to experience design broadly •Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026.
