Job Description

  • POSITION SUMMARY
  • The Electrical Project Manager leads electrical construction and maintenance projects in oil and gas environments.
You are responsible for the full project lifecycle. You plan the work. You execute the work. You close the work. You control safety, cost, schedule, and quality. You work directly with clients, field teams, and leadership to ensure every project meets strict standards. This role requires strong field leadership. You make decisions quickly. You manage multiple priorities. You keep projects moving without sacrificing safety or quality.
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You own project performance from start to finish.
You are accountable for results in the field and with the client. Project Execution You drive project delivery from planning through closeout. Manage full lifecycle from design through commissioning Build and maintain master schedules Develop and track project budgets and forecasts Ensure all work is approved and documented before execution Field Leadership You lead from the field, not the desk. Maintain a consistent presence on job sites Verify safety compliance and work quality Coordinate manpower, equipment, and subcontractors Step into leadership gaps to maintain progress Client & Stakeholder Management You represent the company on every project. Serve as primary client contact Lead coordination and project meetings Provide clear and consistent updates Build long-term working relationships Safety & Compliance You set the standard for safe execution. Enforce OSHA, NFPA, and client safety requirements Lead risk assessments and mitigation planning Ensure all crews follow safe work practices Track incidents and drive corrective actions Project Controls You keep projects organized and financially on track. Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders Track productivity, cost, and schedule performance Maintain accurate reports and project documentation Support estimating and forecasting Team Leadership You build and manage high-performing teams. Lead project managers, foremen, and field crews Develop leadership within the team Manage staffing, performance, and accountability Address personnel issues quickly and professionally
  • QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required Qualifications You bring real field experience and proven project leadership.
5-10+ years in electrical construction project management Oil and gas or heavy industrial experience Strong knowledge of NEC and electrical systems Experience managing budgets, schedules, and crews Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Experience leading field teams in active job sites Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications You bring additional technical depth and credentials. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management PMP certification OSHA 30 certification Experience in hazardous locations (Class I Div 1 & 2) Familiarity with SCADA, PLCs, and instrumentation Experience with high voltage and power distribution systems
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This is a field-driven role with office support. Regular travel to project sites Work in active industrial environments Exposure to extreme weather and job site conditions Work around heavy equipment and energized systems Required use of PPE at all times
  • COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
  • Compensation is based on experience, performance, and industry background. $72,000 - $95,000 per year, depending on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Per diem and travel support

$72,576.74 - $87,404.25 per year
