Sr. PM (Green Roof Construction Experience)

We're seeking someone with niche experience in green roof construction, who can bring both strategic oversight and hands-on leadership to a complex, high-end build. You'll work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and field teams to deliver excellence from preconstruction through closeout. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Lead project planning and execution for a high-profile green roof construction initiative, ensuring alignment with sustainability goals and client expectations.
• Serve as the face in the southern California division, representing the company in client meetings, stakeholder engagements, and community interactions.
• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and quality control.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel, to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Oversee green roof system installation, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, waterproofing protocols, and structural requirements.
• Monitor project performance, track milestones, and proactively address risks, delays, or budget variances.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including building codes, environmental guidelines, and safety standards.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project.
• Prepare and present progress reports, forecasts, and documentation to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance project efficiency, sustainability, and quality.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum 7-10 years of project management experience in commercial or high-end construction, with at least 3 years of direct experience managing green roof or sustainable infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead complex, multi-phase construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong knowledge of green roof systems, waterproofing, drainage, and environmentally responsible building practices.
• Experience managing budgets $10M,+ with a track record of delivering projects on time and within scope.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to represent FD Thomas externally and lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam) and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with California building codes, environmental regulations, and permitting processes.
• Ability to travel within Southern California and work on-site as needed.
• PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
