SENIOR ENGINEERING MANAGER

COMPENSATION
$150,000 - $160,000 base salary
Travel:
Approximately 20% travel, primarily within North America•Annual performance award program• Our client is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of advanced vacuum furnace systems and coating technologies used across aerospace, energy, additive, and precision manufacturing industries. This role is based at their Corona California facility, where high performance capital equipment is engineered and built for demanding applications.

This is a leadership opportunity for a hands on Engineering Manager with strong experience in capital equipment design and manufacturing.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Engineering Manager will lead both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering teams, overseeing a group of 6 engineers. This role is responsible for driving engineering strategy, innovation, product development, and operational excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct responsibility for Mechanical and Electrical Engineering departments Lead engineering strategy, planning, and execution across all programs Partner with Sales and Project Management teams to support new business and product development Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and technical advancement Oversee product design activities to ensure compliance with engineering standards and customer requirements Manage engineering resources to meet project timelines, quality targets, and cost objectives Support customer technical presentations and drive professionalism in engineering deliverables Improve manufacturing processes, reduce variation, and optimize efficiency Provide leadership in advanced manufacturing, automation, and controls Deliver executive level updates on engineering performance, cost controls, and project risks Conduct performance evaluations and manage team development
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong background in industrial automation and controls Experience with PLC systems, HMI, SCADA, and instrumentation Familiarity with Allen Bradley PLC platforms 500 and 5000 Experience with Intouch Wonderware and HC900 Design Station preferred Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office tools
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering required 7 to 10 years of experience in industrial machinery design and manufacturing
REQUIRED
experience working for a designer and builder of capital equipment 3 to 5 years of leadership experience Working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles Strong understanding of industrial standards and engineering practices Proven leadership, problem solving, and critical thinking skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires eligibility to access export controlled information under US law ITAR and EAR. Employment is limited to US persons as defined by applicable regulations.
