Role Number:
200661232-0836 At Apple, the Product Analytics and Compliance Engineering (PACE) organization ensures that every product we ship meets the highest standards of regulatory /environmental compliance, product safety, and analytical rigor. We operate at the intersection of engineering, compliance, and data; delivering the insights, testing, and certification workflows that Apple's product programs depend on. Our Business Operations team is the connective tissue that keeps PACE operating effectively, driving planning, budgeting, tooling, and cross-functional coordination across a highly complex and fast-moving portfolio.

PACE Business Operations is seeking an experienced Business Operations Program Manager to contribute across the full breadth of BizOps functions. This role partners closely with engineering, finance, supply chain, PACE and Operations leadership to ensure that resource planning, budget management, roadmap execution, and operational systems are running smoothly and scaling with the organization's needs. Description The individual in this role brings deep operational expertise and a strong command of Apple's product development processes. They are equally comfortable managing budgets and driving tooling strategy, coordinating factory planning and overseeing claims reporting. They thrive in ambiguity, connect dots across complex workstreams, and have a bias toward automation and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of AI/ML and how we can embrace this technology to drive productivity, efficiencies and opportunities across the organization. They are a trusted partner to leadership, someone who can present with clarity to executives, synthesize ambiguous cross-functional inputs, and move the organization forward through process excellence and operational rigor. Responsibilities Leverage Apple New Product Process (ANPP) expertise to align BizOps activities with product program milestones, phase gates, and cross-functional deliverables. Drive test management, allocations, and samples workflows, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and timely fulfillment across programs. Lead and drive budget and finance operations including quarterly/annual planning, reconciliations, and variance reporting in partnership with Finance. Contribute to product roadmap management, tracking key initiatives and ensuring alignment across stakeholder groups. Coordinate meeting oversight while driving agendas, capturing decisions and action items, and ensuring follow-through for key operational forums. Lead or support ES (Engineering Services) resource planning, aligning headcount and contractor needs with program demands. Partner on factory IDL (Indirect Labor) planning, ensuring staffing models reflect production ramp timelines and organizational priorities. Drive tools, data, and systems initiatives, identifying opportunities for automation, improving data quality, and championing scalable solutions. Own or support Environmental compliance claims reporting leadership, ensuring accurate and timely reporting across programs in line with corporate commitments. Manage samples and allocations processes end-to-end, coordinating across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams. Identify and champion AI/ML-driven opportunities to automate repetitive operational workflows, improve data quality, and accelerate decision-making across BizOps functions. Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools and platforms to enhance reporting, forecasting, and compliance monitoring capabilities. Partner with stakeholder teams to define requirements for intelligent automation solutions that scale across PACE. Minimum Qualifications B.S. in Engineering or Technical degree 3+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or a related function within a hardware product development environment. Demonstrated ANPP (Apple New Product Process) knowledge and hands-on experience navigating product programs through development milestones. Experience with budget management, resource planning, and operational reporting. Strong understanding of Apple's product development lifecycle and cross-functional coordination across engineering, supply chain, and operations. Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with competing priorities and tight timelines. Analytical mindset with experience using data to inform decisions, improve processes, and drive accountability. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain tools, dashboards, and systems that scale with organizational growth. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex operational topics into clear, actionable summaries. Collaborative working style with a track record of building trust and credibility across functions and levels. Preferred Qualifications Postgraduate degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or a related function within a hardware product development environment. Experience with regulatory processes and compliance management in a hardware product context. Demonstrated executive presence with comfort presenting to and influencing VP-level and above stakeholders. Cross-functional leadership experience, ability to drive alignment and outcomes without direct authority across engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain organizations. Background in process improvement methodologies or operational excellence frameworks. Hands-on experience deploying or managing AI/ML-powered tools in an operations or compliance context (e.g., automated triage, anomaly detection, natural language processing for reporting). Track record of driving organizational adoption of new technologies, including change management and stakeholder education. Familiarity with Apple's internal tools and systems for program tracking, resource management, and data analytics. Demonstrated understanding of AI/ML concepts and practical experience applying them to business operations, including automation, predictive analytics, or intelligent tooling. Ability to translate emerging AI/ML capabilities into actionable operational improvements and articulate their value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
