We are a well-established electrical contractor working on commercial, military, public works, and private projects throughout Southern California. We are looking for someone who understands electrical construction, can manage projects from start to finish, and can keep the field, office, vendors, and general contractors moving in the same direction. This position is a good fit for someone who is organized, communicates well, and takes ownership of their projects. We need someone who can stay ahead of issues, support the foremen, manage paperwork, protect costs, and help make sure jobs are completed the right way. Responsibilities The Project Manager will be responsible for managing assigned electrical projects, including: Reviewing project plans, specifications, contracts, schedules, and project requirements. Managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, billing, budgets, and closeout documents. Working closely with foremen, superintendents, general contractors, owners, vendors, and internal team members. Supporting the field with material planning, equipment needs, manpower coordination, layout questions, and jobsite issues. Tracking project costs, change order work, purchase orders, long-lead material, and project schedules. Coordinating with vendors and purchasing to make sure material and equipment are ordered and tracked properly. Managing project documentation in Procore and other company systems. Preparing monthly billings, cost projections, and project updates. Helping close out projects, including as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, testing reports, training documents, and punch list items.
Qualifications Qualified candidates should have:
Experience managing electrical construction projects. Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, specifications, and schedules. Experience with RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, billing, and closeout. Strong communication skills with field crews, general contractors, owners, vendors, and office staff. Strong organization and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at one time. A practical understanding of how work gets built in the field. Experience with Procore is a plus. Experience with public works, military, NAVFAC, or USACE projects is a plus.
