AEHR) Headquartered in Fremont, California, Aehr Test Systems is a leading provider of test solutions for testing, burning-in, and stabilizing semiconductor devices in wafer level, singulated die, and package part form, and has installed thousands of systems worldwide. Increasing quality, reliability, safety, and security needs of semiconductors used across multiple applications, including electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, solar and wind power, computing, advanced AI processors, data and telecommunications infrastructure, and solid-state memory and storage, are driving additional test requirements, incremental capacity needs, and new opportunities for Aehr Test products and solutions. We are seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams in the development and deployment of advanced semiconductor test systems. This role blends strategic program oversight with deep technical engagement, ensuring timely delivery of high-performance solutions that meet business and customer objectives. Key Responsibilities Program Leadership & Coordination Lead cross-functional product development teams across mechanical, thermal, electrical, software, and automation/robotics domains. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Provide regular updates to stakeholders and executive leadership. Apply change, risk, and resource management strategies to ensure project success. Champion continuous improvement through lessons learned and process optimization. Technical Execution & System Development Drive the development of complex test systems for cutting-edge semiconductor devices. Translate customer requirements into actionable engineering plans and performance standards. Oversee design, validation, and release of sub-assemblies and full systems. Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., SEMI
S2/S8, F47, CE
). Lead efforts in DFM/DFT to optimize manufacturability and testability. Data Analysis & Quality Assurance Analyze reliability and yield data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Utilize tools such as FMEA, 8D, DMAIC, and Kaizen methodologies to drive quality and efficiency. Support development of production and reliability tests to ensure robust product performance. Customer & Vendor Engagement Collaborate with Product Marketing and customers to define project scope, risks, and mitigation strategies. Perform technical reviews of supplier capabilities and support source selection. Contribute to technical proposals and new business development initiatives. Process Development & Mentorship Develop and refine company-wide product lifecycle processes and templates. Create and deliver training materials to elevate team capabilities. Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of ownership and innovation. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline is required. Master's degree strongly preferred PMP certification preferred Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical program management within the semiconductor industry, capital equipment, or high-complexity electromechanical systems. Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams through full product lifecycle—from concept and design through NPI, pilot builds, and high-volume manufacturing (HVM). Experience managing multi-million-dollar programs with global stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and internal engineering teams. Demonstrated success in delivering complex systems involving wafer handling, automated probers, ATE integration, and precision instrumentation. Technical Skills Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical design principles, thermal management, and system integration in semiconductor capital equipment (preferably metrology or test systems). Proficient in interpreting and applying industry standards such as
SEMI S2/S8, SEMI
F47, CE, etc. Hands-on experience with DFM/DFT methodologies, reliability testing, problem-solving techniques such as 8D, fishbone, and quality and improvement tools such as FMEA, and DMAIC. Experience in following ISO processes such as 9001:2015 and preparing/responding to audits. Skilled in data analysis and visualization using tools such as Excel, JMP, Tableau, or Python-based analytics. Program & Process Tools Advanced proficiency in MS Project, Excel (including pivot tables and macros), and collaborative tools like SharePoint, Confluence, and Jira. Experience developing and refining program templates, phase-gate processes, and risk management frameworks tailored to capital equipment development. Communication & Leadership Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical information for executive and customer audiences. Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and the ability to influence across engineering, operations, and business functions. Ability to effectively collaborate and manage experienced engineers to achieve objectives. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and program managers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement. Global & Cross-Cultural Experience Experience working with international teams and suppliers, including travel to manufacturing sites and customer facilities. Comfortable navigating cross-cultural communication and remote collaboration across time zones.
