Job Description

Project ExecutiveLocated:
Los Alamitos, CAPay:
$175k-$200k base pay + full benefits + 401k matchingPosition OverviewThe Project Executive will lead the delivery of large-scale electrical and construction projects from conception through handover. This role combines strategic leadership, commercial responsibility, and hands-on project management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate brings deep construction and electrical knowledge, strong stakeholder management skills, and proven ability to drive cross-functional teams to successful outcomes.

Key ResponsibilitiesOwn overall project delivery, including scope management, budget control, schedule adherence, quality assurance and client satisfaction.

Provide leadership and direction to project managers, site teams and subcontractors, fostering a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.

Develop and maintain project plans, milestones and resource allocation to meet contractual commitments and optimize financial performance.

Manage commercial activities including cost estimating, forecasting, change management, claims, and contract negotiations with clients and suppliers.

Act as primary client and stakeholder contact, maintaining regular communication, reporting progress, resolving issues and aligning expectations.

Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical, construction and safety standards, statutory requirements and company policies; champion site safety initiatives.

Identify, assess and mitigate project risks; implement contingency plans and escalate issues to senior management as appropriate.

Oversee procurement and supply chain activities to secure materials, equipment and services critical to project timelines and quality.

Coordinate with engineering, design, quality assurance and commissioning teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure constructability.

Drive post-project reviews and lessons-learned processes to capture best practices and improve future project performance.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; advanced degree a plus.

Minimum 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in construction project delivery, with several years in a lead or executive project role.

Demonstrated technical background in electrical systems and construction methodologies; experience with industrial, commercial, or infrastructure projects preferred.

Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting and contract negotiations.

Proven leadership skills with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple concurrent projects.

Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (PMP, Prince2, Lean Construction, or equivalent).Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills; able to represent the company confidently to clients and regulators.

Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and ability to enforce a strong safety culture on-site.

Willingness to travel to project sites as required and hold a valid drivers license; relevant trade certifications or professional licenses are an advantage.
