Reyes Construction, Inc. is a well-established heavy civil contractor known for delivering complex transportation, water, wastewater, and structural concrete projects across Southern California. The company is recognized for its hands-on leadership, strong self-perform capabilities, and consistent delivery of large public works infrastructure including highway, bridge, and municipal utility improvements.
Position Summary:
We are hiring multiple Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Senior Project Managers to support large-scale heavy civil and infrastructure projects across Los Angeles and San Diego . Depending on the role level, you will either assist with or lead critical project functions, including scheduling, cost tracking, and subcontractor coordination, while ensuring all project requirements are met. These roles are suited for professionals looking to grow their careers, offering a clear pathway from Project Engineer into Project Management, or opportunities for experienced PMs to take ownership of large-scale infrastructure delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. Manage or assist with submittals, RFIs, change orders, and comprehensive contract administration. Collaborate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors to coordinate and optimize field operations. Monitor project budgets, oversee cost control, and drive forecasting to maintain high financial performance. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality control regulations. Review engineering plans, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and constructability. Oversee or assist in procurement and materials management to support ongoing construction activities. Perform regular site visits and field inspections to track progress and resolve complex technical challenges. Maintain and approve accurate project documentation and reporting.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience for Project Engineer roles; 5-10+ years for Project Manager/Senior PM positions. Quality Control experience preferred Strong knowledge of contract administration, scheduling (Primavera P6), and cost tracking Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and HCSS HeavyBid Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with project teams Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
