Job Description Insight Global is partnering with a large local utility as they grow their Electric Engineering organization to support the surge in electricity demand, driven by AI-focused data centers, rapid electric vehicle (EV) adoption, and massive grid modernization efforts. We are seeking a Supervisor for Substation Engineering who will be responsible for leading a team of engineering professionals to support substation projects. This role ensures safe work practices, high-quality project delivery, and strong alignment with organizational goals, while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of Owner's Engineers, Design Engineers, and Engineering Assistants. Promote and enforce a strong safety culture aligned with company standards. Ensure a safe work environment and oversee team-wide safety practices. Communicate company objectives clearly and align team performance with organizational goals. Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and engagement. Support successful project delivery by reinforcing understanding of scope, schedule, and cost drivers. Collaborate with Project Management and Construction teams to improve execution and outcomes. Identify and remove obstacles that hinder project success. Drive accountability for quality, financial results, and schedule adherence. Develop and maintain short- and long-term production schedules. Make timely decisions regarding internal work allocation and outsourced work. Encourage innovation and adoption of new technologies to improve team efficiency.
