This role oversees engineering operations, capital projects, and process optimization initiatives, while partnering closely with production, maintenance, R D, and sales. The position plays a key role in improving yield, efficiency, and product quality, while leading a team of engineers in a hands-on, plant-facing environment. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong technical leader who thrives in manufacturing and enjoys driving measurable operational improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead the process engineering team, ensuring focus on product quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement Drive yield improvements and process optimization using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, and DOE methodologies Oversee capital equipment evaluations, selection, and implementation within budget Manage all engineering-related projects, including process improvements and new equipment installations Partner with R D and sales to support new product development and process implementation Ensure accuracy and maintenance of BOMs and item masters within ERP systems Act as liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues Work closely with maintenance to improve equipment reliability and performance Lead initiatives to reduce defects and improve overall product quality Develop, mentor, and manage engineering staff Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field 6-10+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Prior leadership or supervisory experience required Strong background in process engineering and continuous improvement methodologies Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, or DOE Exposure to capital projects and equipment implementation Experience working cross-functionally with R D, production, and maintenance teams Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE or similar) and BOM management Strong communication and project management skills Compensation & Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match High-visibility leadership role within a stable, growing manufacturer Opportunity to drive real operational impact across engineering and production
