These are high-stakes, high-visibility programs where accuracy, scale, and trust are critical: when they work, no one notices; when they break, everyone does. You'll work across engineering, business partners, and leadership to build programs from first principles. Rather than copying what other companies do, you'll deeply understand what Tesla actually needs and deliver it. The ideal candidate treats programs like products — instrumenting them, measuring their impact, and iterating based on data. You're equally comfortable writing requirements, running SQL queries, and reviewing pull requests. What You'll Do Design and ship employee-facing programs and the underlying systems, owning outcomes end-to-end Define requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and prioritize ruthlessly based on impact and feasibility Build prototypes, internal tools, scripts, dashboards, and integrations to move faster than a traditional engineering cycle allows Drive cross-functional execution across engineering, data, and business teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions Synthesize data from multiple sources (HRIS, payroll, vendors, and internal tools) to drive decisions and provide leadership visibility Communicate effectively with all audiences — from executive proposals to technical specifications and stakeholder data stories Monitor program performance post-launch and iterate rapidly; the first version is never the final version What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience Proven track record designing and shipping enterprise-scale programs or systems with measurable business impact Hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL, or similar — able to prototype, query data, and read production code independently Experience working directly with engineering teams on system design, integrations, and data architecture Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clear proposals that secure leadership buy-in First-principles thinker who defaults to action and ownership Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $96,800 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
