Title:
Senior Engineer Duration:
18Months Assignment Location:
Pomona, CA 91768 / hybrid 2 days onsite and 25% travel across Client's service territoryShift/hours:
40 hrs/week, M-F 8-5 Day-to-Day ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership:
Lead civil engineering efforts across all project phases-scoping, design, cost estimation, scheduling, and construction support.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with internal teams (project management, construction, environmental, real estate) and external agencies.Field Engagement:
Conduct job walks and provide engineering construction support across diverse geographical areas for Transmission, Substation and Distribution facilities. Can be 1-2 field days per week based on business need.Contractor Oversight:
Manage civil engineering consultants-define scopes, review proposals, ensure quality, and maintain schedules.Quality Assurance:
Perform QA for consultant deliverables, peer reviews, manage purchase orders, and approve invoices.Permitting & Compliance:
Secure necessary permits and approvals from local jurisdiction agencies for civil engineering scope and work with business partners to support state, federal and other agency approvalsProject Management:
Balance multiple project schedules, provide technical leadership for civil engineering scope, monitor budgets and provide proactive communication with key stakeholders.Safety:
Embed safety into engineering designs and promote a safety-first culture both in the office and on-site.Skills:
Experienced in land development for electrical substation facilities and transmission access in varied terrain- Familiarity with road and highway design
- Familiarity with storm damage response and mitigation
- Skilled in contractor management and purchase order oversight
- Knowledge of California permitting processes
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience with
