The Role As Chief Engineer, you'll oversee the day-to-day engineering operations across the campus while remaining actively involved in maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system optimisation. You'll work closely with engineering teams, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of operational performance, reliability, safety, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Lead engineering operations across a multi-building corporate campus Supervise and develop a team of building engineers and technicians Maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and operational requirements Coordinate specialist contractors and service providers Support capital projects, upgrades, and system improvements Monitor building performance and identify opportunities for increased efficiency Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and occupants Remain actively involved in field activities and technical problem-solving What We're Looking For Current Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, Lead Engineer, or Senior Building Engineer Strong commercial building engineering experience Proven experience supervising or leading engineering teams Excellent HVAC and mechanical systems knowledge Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding abilities Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on engineering work Professional, customer-focused approach Motivated, energetic, and adaptable mindset Ideal Experience 5+ years in a leadership or supervisory engineering role Experience within Class A commercial office, corporate campus, technology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or institutional environments Experience supporting large-scale facilities and critical building infrastructure Relevant engineering certifications, licenses, or trade qualifications Compensation & Benefits $93.35 per hour Union position Comprehensive benefits package Career development with a global industry leader Exposure to high-profile facilities and best-in-class engineering standards Long-term stability and advancement opportunities Collaborative, supportive engineering culture Opportunity to work within one of the Bay Area's most impressive corporate environments About the Employer Our client is a global leader in facilities management, workplace solutions, engineering services, and real estate operations.
