Job Description

Who We Are Applied Materials is a global leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display. Our teams partner closely with customers to enable the next generations of technology. The Role We are seeking a Senior Director to lead enterprise‑scale prioritization and executive communications that focus the customer-facing field organization on the highest‑value, device‑critical applications. This role partners with account and business unit leaders to consolidate customer roadmap insights, identify industry trends, and align technical priorities to business outcomes. What You'll Do
  • Lead the end‑to‑end prioritization process: identify and prioritize the most critical applications, adjust priorities as signals evolve, and drive alignment through governance forums.
  • Connect application prioritization to business outcomes by maintaining a clear linkage between priority selections and share growth potential, customer outcomes, and business unit strategy.
  • Provide visibility and governance for top priority projects: consolidate inputs across stakeholders, report status and progress, align on definitions/cadence/templates, and drive closure of actions and decisions.
  • Partner with Account Technology Leaders and Field leadership to capture customer roadmap changes, synthesize cross‑account insights, and identify forward‑looking industry trends.
  • Translate complex technology and execution inputs into executive‑ready narratives, executive presentations and internal reviews with content that is clear, comparable, and action‑oriented.
  • Drive adoption of standard processes and templates across regions and accounts; collaborate with operations/analytics partners to improve data quality, automation, and repeatability. What Success Looks Like
  • Leadership teams have timely, decision‑ready views of priorities, enablement status, and key risks/issues.
  • Field engineering effort remains focused on the highest‑value applications with clear rationale and disciplined course correction.
  • Consistent governance and operating cadence across stakeholders, with measurable follow‑through on actions.
  • Clear connection between technical priorities, customer outcomes, and share growth potential. Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years of experience in semiconductor process engineering, technology enablement, portfolio strategy, or related roles.
  • Proven leadership of enterprise‑scale, cross‑functional programs and executive‑level communications.
  • Strong credibility with senior technical stakeholders across accounts and business units. Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
  • Experience translating customer roadmaps and technology inflections into portfolio priorities and investment guidance.
  • Experience building metrics/dashboards and operating mechanisms for governance and value tracking. Key Skills

Salary Range:
$200,000.00 - $275,000.00 The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable. For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
