Job Description
Seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Manager, Engineering, to lead large-scale engineering design/build projects from initiation through completion. This role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, compliance, operations, and cross-functional teams, as well as coordination with external stakeholders, to ensure projects meet budgetary goals, timelines, and leadership expectations. The Engineering Project Manager will oversee projects across multiple locations, requiring a proactive, highly organized professional capable of managing every stage of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead cradle-to-grave management of multiple engineering design/build chemical manufacturing and packaging projects across HASA locations, ensuring completion on schedule and within budget. Team & Vendor Coordination:
Manage design firms, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project contacts to maintain alignment and project progress. Planning & Documentation:
Develop proposals, scopes of work, budgets, and project timelines; track capital spend and schedules using MS Excel, MS Project, and/or Procore®. Project Logistics:
Coordinate project deliverables through weekly meetings and ongoing communication with internal teams and external partners. Construction Oversight:
Interpret project plans and specifications to ensure accuracy during the construction process; review and manage project submittals with engineering. Procurement & Materials Management:
Generate purchase orders, track material deliveries, and support scheduling with design firms, contractors, and subcontractors. Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare and organize daily field reports for leadership review; ensure compliance with city, state, federal, and other regulatory requirements. Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide general support to Construction Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors as needed; identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues or conflicts during the design/build process. Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical) or equivalent, with a minimum of 7+ years of project management experience, preferably building new chemical plants from grassroots. Licensure & Technical Skills:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or active progress toward licensure is a plus. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is advantageous. Experience in sampling, characterizing, and profiling groundwater and wastewater analytical data is a plus. PMP certification is a plus. Safety & Leadership:
Demonstrated safety leadership in high-risk construction environments. Strong team leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks, resolve conflicts effectively, and maintain contractor/subcontractor relationships in good standing. Business Acumen:
Excellent business judgment demonstrated by consistently achieving profitability objectives and completing strong project close-outs. Ability to analyze and execute financial trade-offs, even when dealing with incomplete data or ambiguity. Project Management Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with a comprehensive understanding of contract and legal provisions. Capable of managing multiple projects and competing priorities between business and operational needs. Problem-Solving & Decision-Making:
Ability to quickly analyze complex issues, act decisively, and escalate matters appropriately. High sense of urgency, initiative, and adaptability to new processes or ways of solving problems. Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Must be organized and able to travel as required to lead and execute projects across all plant locations.
