Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Operating Engineer to join our team. The Chief Operating Engineer is responsible for overseeing all engineering projects and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, and industrial maintenance. They will be responsible for overseeing maintenance management, and ensuring all electrical and mechanical systems are functioning properly.
Responsibilities:
  • Shall direct, in a safe and efficient manner, all engineering operations and mechanical maintenance of the building coming within the jurisdiction of the Engineering Department.
They may stand a shift and work with the tools of their trade.

Oversee all engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Manage a team of engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure all equipment is properly maintained.
  • Conduct regular inspections of all electrical and mechanical systems to identify potential issues and ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems as needed.
  • Ensure all electrical systems, including low and high voltage, are functioning properly and meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure all projects are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and implement new technologies and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Experience:
  • At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, and industrial maintenance.
  • Proven experience in project management and maintenance management.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low and high voltage.
  • Experience with logic controllers and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge and experience with industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to manage a team of engineers and other staff members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
