Yes Position Overview Seeking an experienced Sr. Director of Electrical Engineering to oversee and manage a team of Discipline Engineering Directors and Managers. This role provides technical leadership, project support, and team development in the Utilities and Oil & Gas industries. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing electrical engineering teams, guiding technical standards, and delivering operational excellence. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.S.) 15+ years of industry experience in Utilities and/or Oil & Gas 5+ years of leadership or management experience Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) Strong construction knowledge and field experience Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Lead, mentor, and grow the Electrical Engineering team, ensuring technical expertise and readiness for projects. Act as a Subject Matter Expert and Engineer of Record as needed. Ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and best practices. Support development of equipment specifications, bid packages, technical reviews, and project documentation. Maintain knowledge of power system protection, relaying schemes, and electrical distribution systems. Team Development & Career Pathing Develop and implement growth strategies for the EE team, identify skill gaps, and create training programs. Mentor, coach, and conduct performance reviews for Directors and Managers. Maintain succession planning and career development within the discipline. Process & Operational Excellence Recommend and implement new processes, systems, and technologies to improve efficiency. Support quality control and technical reviews with appropriate SME resources. Ensure engineering resources are allocated appropriately across projects. Client & Business Support Serve as a technical point of contact for clients regarding project progress and engineering solutions. Maintain existing client relationships and identify new business opportunities. Review and approve proposals, cost estimates, and staffing requirements. Stay informed on industry trends and prioritize business development efforts. Travel Occasional travel to various offices and client sites may be required. This role reports to the VP of Engineering and Design and will oversee 3-5 direct reports (Director and Manager level). Candidates must have experience in natural gas and/or utilities projects and be able to work across multiple office locations as needed.
