Job Description

Living Design Studios is a high-end, custom ornamental, and architectural metal fabrication shop in Erie in business for over 30 years. We serve residential and commercial customers throughout Colorado. We offer a unique design to build construct working with Colorado's largest commercial contractors and most reputable architectural and design companies. Depending on experience, this position is a Project Engineer or a Project Manager. The Project Manager will have a higher level of autonomy in running their jobs. Both will take the lead in managing assigned projects from the start of contract negotiations through drafting, fabrication, installation, and completion. They are the point person for the General Contractor to keep the project moving forward and ensure decisions are documented and communicated with the client and the internal team, keeping the team aware of project status through regular communication.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Act as the hub on a wheel between LDSi, our clients, and our subs, on jobs with signed contracts. Review and understand the scope, budget, time frame, specifications, job site requirements, etc. on assigned jobs, such that you can quickly identify the critical path to completion and potential change orders as they arise. Manage to the budget, keeping the team aware of design, fab and install hours allocated and the status of those hours. If the hours are trending over the budget, gather the team to determine why and how it can be rectified. Communicate directly with clients to ensure understanding, clarity, and customer service. Gather and disseminate information between production, drafters, fabricators, installers, vendors, and subcontractors. Compile information to generate RFIs and submit them to the client. Serve as a resource for resolving project-related problems on behalf of clients and subcontractors per the project subcontract and master subcontract terms and conditions. Successful:
Must have construction and metalwork experience. Must have experience in project management. Must be able to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Must strive for continuous improvement, accept responsibility for results, and effectively manage time. Must be proficient with Office 365 products. Experience with BlueBeam and Rhino 3D is a plus. Must be able to multi-task. Must be a positive team player.
Requirement:
Travel locally, and on occasion to jobsites including Colorado mountain communities. There may be travel associated with training and networking events.
Schedule :
