Up to 50% to CA site A leading manufacturer of mission‑critical hardware for Aerospace, Defense, and Space applications is seeking a Quality Manager to support its growing C5ISR business unit. This organization has a long history of engineering innovation, supporting satellite programs, military platforms, and advanced communication systems. The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on leader with strong experience in regulated environments, quality systems, and continuous improvement. This is an opportunity to influence strategic quality initiatives across multiple sites while supporting cutting‑edge technology that enhances national security. What You'll Do Lead and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) across multiple locations to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal requirements. Drive consistent deployment of QMS and inspection processes, documentation, and certifications. Maintain 100% compliance with AS9100, Nadcap, DoD, and customer‑specific standards. Lead, mentor, and develop quality and inspection teams to ensure performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Establish and enhance risk‑based inspection and control plans for tight‑tolerance, mission‑critical components. Own the Material Review Board (MRB) process and oversee root cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action activities. Lead internal, supplier, customer, and third‑party audit activities. Oversee supplier quality functions and ensure adherence to quality policies and procedures. Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold organizational core values. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (equivalent experience considered). 5+ years of directly related quality experience, including MRB authority/participation. 2+ years in a leadership role. Minimum 1 year of experience in an AS9100‑regulated environment. AS9100 Lead Auditor certification preferred. ASQ certifications (CQE, CSSBB, CQMgr) preferred but not required. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, and other quality improvement tools. Strong attention to detail and demonstrated management capability. Familiarity with
ISO 17025, ANSI Z540, CMM
programming, inspection strategies, and GD&T. Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and able to pass background and pre‑employment screenings.
