Job Description:
We are exclusively supporting a high-profile engineering leader in critical power (uninterruptible power supplies) and energy storage systems supplied to several industries, such as data centers and critical infrastructure. They seek an experienced Manager to lead their Electrical Engineering team based on site in Rocky Hill, managing 3-4 direct reports with investment and an order book to warrant this to grow. This position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a critical role in shaping the company's technical strategy.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop control panels, renewable energy protection systems and data center power configurations in compliance with
UL508A, UL891, UL687A, UL98B
standards and ISO standards Collaborate closely with quality assurance, sales and production to interpret customer requirements into manufacturable solutions Create CAD submittals, BOMs and other associated documentation needed to support client proposals, manufacturing and assembly. Deliver innovation to their design processes, tools and improvement of reliability and cost-effectiveness. Management of engineering resources Client interaction Your background Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is an advantage, but not essential Prior management experience Knowledge of NEC codes, UL requirements and ISO9001 standards Experience with CAD tools (e.g. AutoCaD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical). Excellent leadership, project management and interpersonal skills
