Job Description

The Opportunity StaffRight Associates is recruiting, in the industrial manufacturing sector, to identify a visionary Engineering & Controls Manager. In this pivotal leadership role, you will champion the technical execution of state-of-the-art power distribution networks, automated systems, and custom electrical designs. Operating out of the Hartford, Connecticut area, you will steer an elite technical department, direct strategic engineering operations, and fuel the organization s aggressive growth across the global energy and industrial automation landscapes. This is a high-impact mandate designed for an ambitious leader ready to cultivate engineering excellence, streamline modern manufacturing methodologies, and transform complex client requirements into marketplace realities. What You ll Do Champion and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of electrical engineers and technical specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and engineering brilliance. Architect comprehensive electrical frameworks and industrial control system architectures tailored for demanding production environments. Deconstruct complex client specifications and synthesize technical parameters into highly precise, manufacturable engineering strategies. Validate critical technical documentation, encompassing advanced schematics, detailed layouts, and comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs). Drive continuous improvement workflows across the engineering lifecycle to optimize resource allocation, elevate product quality, and accelerate project delivery. Direct rigorous design reviews, offering deep technical counsel and risk mitigation strategies from initial concept through final production. Synchronize departmental schedules, human capital, and project priorities to consistently achieve cross-functional delivery goals on time and within budget. Interface as the primary technical subject matter expert with key customers, tier-one vendors, and internal executive stakeholders.
What You Bring Academic Foundation:
Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a highly related technical discipline.
Industrial Expertise:
Over 7 years of progressive electrical design and engineering experience embedded within a high-output manufacturing or heavy industrial sector.
Leadership Pedigree:
Upward of 3 years of direct supervisory experience managing, coaching, and scaling technical engineering teams.
Technical Mastery:
Deep foundational command of industrial automation platforms, robust power distribution systems, and sophisticated industrial control mechanisms.
Digital Proficiency:
Advanced capabilities utilizing electrical CAD applications, paired with preferred exposure to enterprise-level ERP/MRP platforms.
Regulatory Acumen:
Comprehensive familiarity with modern industrial electrical codes, manufacturing safety compliance, and rigid quality standards.
Operational Excellence:
Superior project management, analytical problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
Logistical Commitment:
Absolute readiness to work full-time on-site in the Hartford, Connecticut region.
Compensation & Total Rewards Core Compensation Competitive Base Salary:
$140,000 to $150,000 annually, calibrated to match industry-leading standards for senior technical leadership.
