Quality Engineering Manager Position Summary The Quality Engineering Manager Assistant provides administrative, analytical, and coordination support to the Quality Engineering function. This role enables the effective execution of quality management system (QMS) activities, including audit readiness, corrective/preventive action tracking, documentation control, and cross-functional communication. The position is critical to maintaining compliance with internal standards and applicable regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Administrative & Operational Support Prepare quality reports, presentations, and formal communications. Maintain organized records of quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and audit files. Quality Systems Support (QMS) Assist in maintaining and updating QMS documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, AS, as applicable). Support document control processes, including versioning, approvals, and distribution. Ensure records are audit-ready and compliant with retention policies. Audit & Compliance Coordination Coordinate internal and external audits, including scheduling, documentation preparation, and follow-up. Track audit findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions to closure. Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and customer requirements. Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) Defective Material Report (DMR) review. Support the CAPA process by tracking investigations, root cause analyses, and implementation of corrective actions. Maintain logs and dashboards for visibility into issue status and trends. Data Analysis & Reporting Compile and analyze quality metrics (e.g., defect rates, first-pass yield, customer complaints). Prepare dashboards and recurring reports for leadership review. Assist with continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven insights. Cross-Functional Coordination Serve as liaison between Quality Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams. Facilitate communication regarding quality issues, resolutions, and process improvements. Support supplier quality activities and documentation as needed. Required Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in a quality, engineering support, or project coordination role. Working knowledge of quality systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar). Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Preferred Qualifications Experience in regulated industries (aerospace, defense, medical devices, or manufacturing). Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams). Key Competencies Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline Analytical mindset with ability to interpret quality data Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Effective communication across technical and non-technical teams Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information Proactive problem-solving and follow-through
Work Environment Frequency:
Mon-Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm

3+ months (This is a contract role that can extend longer)
