Job Description

We are working with a well-established, multidisciplinary design consultancy looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Manager to lead and grow their civil engineering offering across the North East region. This is a senior leadership position, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a growing practice, drive revenue and profitability, and play a key role in shaping both the team and client relationships in a highly collaborative environment. The role As Civil Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance, growth and day-to-day operations of the civil engineering group. You will lead both the business and technical delivery, ensuring projects are completed successfully while also contributing to wider strategic growth.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing proposals and negotiating contracts for civil engineering projects Reviewing revenue projections, financial performance and monthly business reports Managing select projects from a delivery and client perspective Driving the growth and profitability of the team Representing projects at hearings and planning meetings Actively developing new business opportunities and promoting services Building and maintaining strong client relationships Attending networking events and organising regular client meetings Overseeing the operational performance of the group Mentoring, training and managing team members Leading recruitment and hiring to support team growth Requirements Minimum of 10 years experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development Previous experience at Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level Proven leadership or team management experience is preferred Strong track record of developing and maintaining client relationships Professional Engineer (PE) licence required Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field What's on offer Salary in the region of $160,000 to $180,000, dependent on experience Bonus potential and comprehensive benefits package Opportunity to lead a growing team within a well-supported, international platform Access to resources, cross-disciplinary collaboration and long-term career progression If you're looking for a leadership opportunity where you can make a tangible impact on both team and business growth, this role offers a strong platform to do so within a forward-thinking and collaborative environment.
