Senior Project Manager, Civil/Sitework Construction - A nationally recognized real estate development organization is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a large scale, highly visible land development project with an anticipated duration of 10+ years. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in one of the area's most significant long term commercial and industrial developments. You would be in charge of the civil/site work before the buildings are built in phases. The position will be heavily involved in all phases of site development, from early planning and preconstruction through infrastructure installation and project closeout. Working closely with internal development and construction teams, as well as outside engineers and consultants, this individual will oversee site development activities related to mass grading, utilities, roadway work, and infrastructure installation across a large acreage development. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Manage multiple civil and site development projects simultaneously across a large master planned development Oversee site development contractors responsible for mass grading, utilities, roadway, and infrastructure installation throughout the construction process Review and coordinate civil engineering plans to ensure proper site design, utility coordination, and alignment with overall development plans Examine underground utility layouts and coordinate infrastructure including sewer, water, gas, electrical, and stormwater systems to identify and resolve potential conflicts Identify and pursue value engineering opportunities related to infrastructure design and site construction costs Develop and maintain adherence to company development standards and specifications Review plans and quantity takeoffs to identify cost efficiencies and support budgeting related to site development and infrastructure construction Coordinate closely with internal teams to ensure infrastructure supports future industrial, warehouse, commercial, and mixed use developments Solicit and manage outside consultants including civil engineering, surveying, traffic engineering, environmental, and specialty disciplines Maintain strong communication and oversight between consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders throughout the development process Qualifications Minimum of 10+ years of experience in civil/site construction or land development Large acreage development experience is required Experience working for a site contractor, heavy civil contractor, general contractor, or civil engineering consulting firm preferred Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, site development practices, grading, utilities, and infrastructure coordination Experience supporting large scale commercial, industrial, institutional, or master planned developments preferred Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving abilities Detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Preferred Background Candidates with experience in: Large scale land development Heavy civil construction Industrial or logistics developments Mass grading and earthwork analysis Civil engineering consulting are highly encouraged to apply.
