Technology Systems Designer

BR+A provides state-of-the-art integrated and coordinated mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection consulting engineering, technology systems design, lighting design, and building commissioning services.

BR+A is seeking a Technology Systems Designer for our Miami, FL office.

This positions responsibilities include:

Providing Engineering, Design work, and drafting of plansImplementing approved system concepts from a schematic diagram to floor plansSketches, rough layouts to review with project engineer or Project ManagerReviewing product cut sheets and technical informationCommunicating with Project Manager/Project Engineer regarding potential problemsMeeting with vendors to determine spatial requirements for application of the productCoordinating with other disciplines and the architectAttending meetings as required, working to submit the required documentation per project deadlinesAttending in-house coordination meetings when appropriateDeveloping strategy to meet project scheduleAssisting in development of engineering systems concepts (M/E)Assisting design team on major design issuesOrganizing required technical correspondence, emails and calculationsPerforming field work and verification of existing conditionsRequired experience and skills:

Bachelors Degree in Electrical or Architectural EngineeringQualified experience using Autodesk Revit design softwareMinimum of 3 years of experience designing Information and Communications Technology systems (Data Networks, cDAS, Nurse Call, Electronic Security, Paging, Wireless, etc.)BR+A is a place to learn, to grow, to work hard for clients that matter and to be part of something bigger.
