Estimator / Project Manager — Electrical (Confidential) Southwest Florida $75K
  • 115K comp
  • base + incentive pay A electrical contractor in Southwest Florida is hiring an Estimator / Project Manager to own commercial and residential projects from quote through completion.
We have projects in the pipeline ready for you to take over on day one — this is not a build-the-role-from-scratch seat. Confidential search; employer name shared with qualified candidates. The seat You quote it, you win it, you run it, you close it out.
Project size:
$30K
  • up to $1-2M.
Mix:
commercial new construction, tenant improvements, retrofits, service, and selective residential. You will own roughly 2-4 active projects at any time across estimating and PM phases. This is not a desk-only estimator role. This is not a PM-only role. If you want to specialize in one or the other, this isn't your seat. Why this is different Real ownership — you bid it, you run it, you own the margins Must be able to quote without set of prints. Troubleshoot/retrofit Active pipeline you inherit on day one Direct relationship with Leadership
  • pricing decisions don't get rerouted through three layers Growing commercial division — the right hire grows into the leader of this division What you'll do Estimating Take-offs from plans and specs (commercial and residential) Build labor and material estimates; develop and defend pricing Vendor and supplier quoting; manage submittals Bid review with Leadership before submission Walk jobs with GCs and customers as needed Project management Run projects from award through closeout: scheduling, procurement, change orders, RFIs, billing milestones Coordinate with field superintendents, foremen, and crews Customer and GC communication; you are the project's owner externally Manage job financials against your original estimate — hit the margin you bid Punch list, closeout documentation, warranty handoff What we pay and provide $75K•115K•depending on experience and the book of work you can carry Incentive pay tied to estimating accuracy, project margin, and completion — specific structure shared with finalists Vehicle Health insurance options Paid time off Paid holidays What we need 3+ years estimating electrical work, with at least 1 years also running projects as PM Demonstrated ownership of projects Residential electrical knowledge (panels, service upgrades, EV, generators) sufficient to estimate and manage residential work of jobs larger than 3 days.
Reads commercial and residential prints fluently. Can quote without prints Strong written and verbal communication — you'll be the customer-facing voice on every project you own Florida driver's license, clean MVR, passes background and drug screen Not for you if You want to quote and hand off You need a large estimating team to lean on You want pure commercial or pure residential You're looking to coast — the work is real and the accountability is direct Confidential process. Submit resume and a brief note on the largest project you've owned from estimate through closeout, and what the margin variance was vs. your bid.
