Job Description:
The Role Palm Coast Sales is seeking a Head of Strategy and Analytics to drive key functions of our organization while also working to level up our organization internally and evaluate new opportunities externally. This role is designed for a flexible, proactive operator with experience in consulting, operations, finance, or analytics, who wants real ownership, visibility, and impact in a fast-paced, growth-driven sponsor-backed business. He or she will work as part of Palm Coast Sales' leadership team and will be tasked with tackling our business' biggest opportunities, including leveraging data and tools to create visibility and drive improvements across all areas of the business. This is a high-trust, high-exposure role designed for a future general manager or C-suite business leader. Key Responsibilities Strategic Projects Own high-priority, cross-functional initiatives from concept through execution Lead special projects
  • evaluate new opportunities and tackle the company's most complex and high-impact challenges, including M&A opportunities, new brand partnerships, and more Prepare presentations for leadership team and vendor partners grounded in data Operational Strategy and Business Process Improvement Identify opportunities and implement AI tools to improve efficiency and save cost across all functions of the business Evaluate and optimize procurement/purchasing, current warehouse network, and shipping programs Own ERP and related software systems•including leading new ERP system implementation in next 24 months Help to build and track metrics and KPI's for operational efficiency Data Management and Reporting Responsible for all data infrastructure, management, processes, and systems Own relationships with 3rd party partners that maintain our data warehouses, API connections, and reporting/visualizations Design and implement scalable reporting to help improve sales efficiency and performance, purchasing performance, operational execution, and financial management Build executive dashboards and scorecards for leadership Turn complex data into clear, decision-driving narratives Strategic Finance and Financial Reporting Work with CEO and Accounting to optimize financial reporting packages and build dashboards that help drive strategic decision-making Own the strategic planning and annual budgeting processes, track performance versus plan, and share financial reporting with the sponsor Help translate strategic priorities into clear plans, timelines, and KPI's Create financial rigor and discipline while preserving entrepreneurial speed Ideal Candidate Profile Experience 5-10 years of total experience, with experience in management consulting, investment banking, FP&A, analytics, or operations Experience working in a growth business or transformation in an active, hands-on capacity Experience in sales organizations, distribution, or consumer brands a plus Skills Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills•comfortable a) building a framework to analyze an ambiguous problem or opportunity b) executing the work to build conclusions and recommendations, and c) building and presenting an output at board level Bias for action•identifies problems, builds solutions, and drives them to completion without a detailed playbook Clear, compelling communicator•can translate complex analysis into plain language that drives decisions Collaborative by nature•able to earn trust and influence across the leadership team without direct authority Technically literate•knows enough about data architecture, AI, BI tools, and reporting to be a smart, effective client of an outsourced technical team Can translate business needs into clear technical requirements and evaluate the quality of technical work without building it personally Genuine curiosity about and experience with AI and automation tools for business process improvement Strong financial reporting and budgeting skills•comfortable owning a forecast, building variance analysis, and presenting to leadership Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with a system implementation or migration is a plus Pay & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance 401k with company match PTO + paid holidays Employee product discounts About Palm Coast Sales Palm Coast Sales is a sponsor-backed high-growth sales and distribution organization that partners with customers and premium brands to deliver exceptional products and experiences that elevate outdoor living.
