Job Description

Robayna and Associates, an established civil engineering, land surveying, and land planning firm serving South Florida, is seeking a seasoned Land Development Project Manager with deep Miami-Dade and Broward County experience. This is a senior role for an engineer who can run projects independently from proposal through construction, manage staff, and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for our clients. About the Role You'll manage a portfolio of land development projects spanning private (residential, commercial, and industrial) and public/municipal work. You'll own scope, schedule, budget, and technical delivery — directing a team of engineers, designers, and CAD technicians, coordinating with our survey and SUE groups, and shepherding projects through South Florida's permitting landscape. Responsibilities Manage land development projects from proposal and contracting through design, permitting, bidding, and construction administration Lead site civil design including grading, drainage, paving, water/sewer, and stormwater management for residential, commercial, and industrial sites Prepare and shepherd permit applications through Miami-Dade RER, DERM, WASD, Broward County EPGMD, municipal building departments, SFWMD, FDOT, and FDEP Supervise, mentor, and review the work of project engineers, designers, and CAD staff Serve as primary client contact — leading project meetings, providing status updates, and responding to client and agency requests Coordinate with in-house surveyors, SUE crews, and outside consultants (geotech, landscape, MEP, structural) Review construction documents, specifications, and contractor submittals Manage project budgets, billing, and schedules Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program 10+ years of land development experience in South Florida Florida PE license preferred; EI with clear path to licensure considered Demonstrated working knowledge of Miami-Dade and Broward County permitting processes, codes, and agency requirements Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is required Proven project management experience including staff supervision, budget/schedule control, and client management Bilingual English/Spanish preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills Valid Florida driver's license Preferred Experience with industrial site development (warehouse/distribution, manufacturing, logistics) Experience with municipal, MDCPS, or other public agency projects Familiarity with stormwater modeling and SFWMD criteria Experience coordinating with land surveying and SUE teams Compensation & Benefits Salary range: $110,000
