Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Construction to lead our new flooring division with energy, vision, and a commitment to excellence. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale flooring projects, ensuring they align with company goals and industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated senior leader eager to shape the future of our construction initiatives while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and sustainable growth. Responsibilities Manage and mentor senior construction teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee all phases of construction projects from inception through completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. Negotiate contracts with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Drive process improvements across project management workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. Cultivate new business opportunities through proactive business development efforts and strengthen existing client relationships. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental policies throughout project lifecycles. Meets construction budget by monitoring project expenditures. Works with and supervises estimators on new bids. Skills Proven management experience leading construction teams or divisions with a track record of successful project delivery. Strong strategic planning skills to align construction operations with overall corporate goals. Demonstrated ability to lead senior leadership teams effectively in fast-paced environments. Excellent negotiation skills for contracts, vendor relations, and stakeholder engagement. Expertise in business development to identify growth opportunities and expand market presence. Advanced project management capabilities including scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and risk assessment. Commitment to process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and safety standards. Deep knowledge of operations management principles within the construction industry coupled with leadership qualities that inspire teams toward excellence.
Pay:
$150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
