On-site The Impact You'll Make You will shape the future of oil‑free turbomachinery by leading advanced aero engineering work that directly improves efficiency, performance, and reliability of Danfoss Turbocor compressors used around the world. In this role, your expertise will influence both next‑generation compressor architectures and the evolution of today's products, connecting breakthrough research with real‑world application. By guiding a global team of engineers and collaborating across industry and academia, you will help Danfoss deliver sustainable, high‑impact cooling and heating solutions at scale. This is an on-site role based at our Turbocor Global Headquarters in Tallahassee, FL. What You'll Be Doing Lead and develop a global aero engineering team to deliver high‑performance oil‑free compressor designs from concept through qualification. Define and advance turbomachinery architectures that improve efficiency, durability, and system performance across current and future products. Contribute hands‑on technical expertise in compressor aerodynamics, modeling, and performance development to critical R&D programs. Drive technology programs from idea to implementation, ensuring technical rigor while meeting cost, schedule, and quality commitments. Represent Danfoss in the technical community by collaborating with universities, national labs, and external partners. What We're Looking For Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in mechanical engineering, thermo‑fluids, aerospace, or a closely related field. Strong technical background in centrifugal compressor or turbomachinery aerodynamic design. At least 3 years of proven experience using 1D mean‑line design methods, 3D design tools, and CFD for compressor development. Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow engineering talent in a collaborative, global environment.
