Electrical Engineering Discipline Manager Location:
Florida (Office-Based with Some Flexibility)
Type:
Full-Time Overview A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Engineering Discipline Manager to lead its Building Services electrical team. This is a senior leadership role responsible for technical excellence, staff development, and overall discipline performance across a diverse portfolio of projects. This opportunity is ideal for a strong technical leader who thrives in both people management and hands-on engineering oversight. Key Responsibilities Provide technical leadership across electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, low voltage, and building systems Oversee discipline performance, including staffing, workload planning, scheduling, and production Lead QA/QC efforts to ensure deliverables are accurate, code-compliant, and fully coordinated Manage projects from planning through design, construction administration, and closeout Mentor, develop, and supervise engineers, designers, and
BIM/CADD
staff Collaborate with project managers to support budgets, schedules, and project execution Support construction activities including RFIs, submittals, site visits, and commissioning Develop and maintain engineering standards, tools, and processes Assist with proposals, client engagement, and business development initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Professional Engineer (PE) license required or strongly preferred 8-10+ years of progressive experience in an MEP or A/E consulting environment Proven experience leading electrical engineering teams and managing workflows Strong technical expertise across building systems (power, lighting, emergency systems, low voltage, etc.) Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and electrical analysis/design tools Ability to serve as Engineer of Record and oversee signed/sealed designs Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Why Apply?
