Job Description

Mechanical Project ManagerAre you a Mechanical Project Manager who thrives in complex, high‑impact environments where precision, planning, and communication truly matter?

We're representing a leading mechanical contractor with over four decades of experience delivering HVAC and plumbing systems across mission‑critical environments-including hospitals, clinical facilities, and research settings. Known for tackling technically challenging projects, this business has built a reputation as a trusted partner on healthcare construction where safety, uptime, and patient care are paramount. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of healthcare projects that are not only technically complex, but genuinely meaningful.

The RoleAs Mechanical Project Manager, you will lead healthcare projects from preconstruction through to turnover-often within live, operational environments where minimal disruption is critical.

You'll play a key role in delivering HVAC and plumbing upgrades, renovations, and system installations in hospitals, medical offices, and treatment facilities-where careful planning, infection control, and stakeholder coordination are essential.

Key ResponsibilitiesManage full project lifecycle from estimating and planning through to closeoutLead healthcare renovation and upgrade projects in occupied facilitiesOversee budgets, schedules, procurement, and cost forecastingCoordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teamsAct as the primary client interface, maintaining strong relationshipsDrive RFIs, submittals, change orders, and commissioning processesEnsure strict compliance with healthcare safety and infection control protocolsConduct site assessments to evaluate existing systems and constraintsIdentify value engineering opportunities and efficiency improvementsDeliver projects safely, on time, and within budgetAbout YouProven experience managing mechanical (HVAC/plumbing) construction projectsStrong exposure to healthcare projects or other mission-critical environmentsExperience working in live facilities with complex phasing and coordinationStrong commercial acumen with budget and cost control expertiseExcellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise across clinical and construction teamsProficiency in project management tools (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project preferred)Detail-oriented, proactive, and confident making decisions in fast-paced environmentsWhy This Role?
