Field Engineer (several positions) Poelman Resources Honolulu, HI Job Details Full-time $90,000 - $160,000 a year 20 hours ago Qualifications AutoCAD Project engineering Bridge construction projects Primavera Bachelor's degree Working on construction projects in a civil infrastructure role Attention to detail Organizational skills Primavera P6 Field engineering Stakeholder relationship building Stakeholder management Full Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field and Senior Field Engineers with 5-10+ years of civil engineering experience to lead and oversee complex projects in various locations both in Hawaii and in California . The ideal candidates will possess strong organizational skills, with a proven track record in managing various stakeholders. These roles offers the opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, implement best practices in project management methodologies, and ensure the successful delivery of projects on time and within scope. Responsibilities Review project plans and develops a construction schedule in coordination with project-wide activities. Coordinate with subcontractors on advanced material acquisitions and pre-construction deliverables Develops/ assist with obtaining quotes and draft contracts to meet project requirements. Prepare construction work plan packages and coordinates pre-construction meetings while ensuring that all prerequisites to start construction activities are identified and completed. Prepare, updates and distributes work activity schedules/updates, and communicates across discipline groups and agencies to ensure proper advance notifications and coordination of start times. Monitor and participates daily in field construction process. Provides layout checks and technical reviews of work against requirements. Obtains confirmations from design engineer as needed Assist with subcontract administration and permanent material suppliers through monitoring of correspondence, submittals, RFI's, and performance records; Maintains accurate payment records. Assist in preparing monthly reporting for progress payments, schedule updates, and problem/issue tracking and resolution. Provides accurate and factual assessments of project performance. Participate in change orders and claims management Develop and manages relationships with owners, subcontractors, consultants and field personnel Maintains a safe, clean and productive environment through enforcing procedures. Maintains project integrity and reputation through compliance with high standards of workplace safety and construction best practices Identify and resolves changing site conditions or other impacts during planning of the work Coordinate and attends pre-bid and construction meetings Develop quality checks and coordinate permits from appropriate entities Assist in preparing crossing applications and work plans, assuring quality control, etc. by subcontractor Manage and submits project close-out in coordination with the client and third parties Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or something similar 5-10+ years field experience in Heavy Civil Engineering Must have experience in Heavy Civil Structures - bridges, structures, elevated guideways, etc. Must have skills in P6 Primavera Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in project planning and execution. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
