THE VALUE YOU DELIVER
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of architects, designers, and multidisciplinary engineering professionals. Oversee the full lifecycle of architectural projects, including programming, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment on project goals, and satisfaction with deliverables. Provide design leadership and technical oversight to ensure high-quality, code-compliant architectural solutions. Coordinate with engineers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and staffing plans. Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and applicable industry standards. Support business development efforts, including proposals, interviews, and client presentations. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and team performance.
THE EXPERTISE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field required). Master's degree or higher is strongly preferred. Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Hawaii, or ability to obtain licensure within one year of hire. Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering design projects from concept to completion; 10+ years preferred. Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant design platforms. Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with experience interfacing directly with clients. Solid project management capabilities, including scheduling, budgeting, and risk management. Ability to balance technical detail with big-picture strategic thinking. High level of organization and attention to detail. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound engineering decisions. This role requires collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must be able to effectively represent the organization in client-facing environments. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality standards.
