Full-time Position Summary:
The Electrical Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all electrical activities within a Data Center environment including installation, modification, and maintenance of equipment and systems such as electrical components and systems such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment. Responsible for performing duties in the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and security and fire alarm systems or equivalent. Monitors and inspects the work of service contractors and O&M employees.
Pay Rate:
Up to $140,000 per year
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee the operations and maintenance of electrical systems such as UPS, switchgear, generators, PDUs, grounding, and distribution Develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs to maximize systems and reliability Lead electrical incident investigations and implement corrective actions Manage electrical capacity planning and support expasion or retrofit projects Ensure compliance with
NEC, NFPA
70E, OSHA, and company eletrical safety standards Supervise electrical technicians and vendors Electrical trades work is performed independently and in conformance with local city, county, and state codes and standards of the profession Works from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications Locates and diagnoses trouble in the electrical system or equipment Solves standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. Document actions, testing results, observations, final diagnosis of the situation and steps taken to resolve issues for each job or situation Repair electrical issues by replacing or installing components, wiring or devices Determine the steps necessary to assess an electrical situation using testing devices, blueprints and maps Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all company guidelines and OSHA safety requirements and also through reporting violations of policies, procedures and guidelines to immediate supervisor Use ladders, scaffolding, platform and lifts to work on electrical systems in residential homes, on roadside poles and in commercial properties Answer emergency calls quickly, assess the safety of the situation upon first arriving at the scene and provide directions to individuals affected by the electrical emergency to ensure their continued safety and comfort Maintain equipment to ensure it is in good condition and can operate or be used safely; report any issues to immediate supervisor
Required Skills, Experience, and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a Tier III Data center 7 years of progressive, hands-on experience in a commercial or industrial setting as a Lead Electrician or Chief Electrician Proficiency with National Electrical Codes and Local Codes Ability to read blueprints High School Diploma or Equivalent Ability to work effectively in a multi-tenant environment with priority emphasis on safety and minimal disruption of the tenants' day-to-day operations. Initiative and ability to work with minimal direction; sound judgment and decision making capabilities are essential. Knowledge of state and local codes related to assigned trade/craft. Ability to utilize office technology to document assigned work, control inventories, initiate service orders, etc., to include NCMMS, spreadsheet and word processing documents. Ability to communicate and maintain good working relations with other staff in a team environment.

Working Environment:
Work takes place in a large, complex facility with exposure to varying noise levels due to equipment. This position will perform work in an indoor and outdoor setting with exposure to different temperatures and weather conditions Action Facilities Management, INC (AFM)
