Job Description

Engineering Manager:
A growing precision manufacturing organization is seeking a Director of Engineering to lead engineering operations, process improvement initiatives, and technical development across the facility. This individual will provide strategic and hands-on leadership to engineering teams, drive continuous improvement efforts, and ensure engineering activities align with company objectives, quality standards, and operational goals. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all engineering functions within the organization. Develop and execute engineering strategies that support operational and business objectives. Oversee engineering projects from planning through implementation. Provide leadership, coaching, and development for engineering personnel. Collaborate with operations, production, quality, and leadership teams to improve manufacturing performance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost reduction. Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and production methods. Support production planning through process analysis and cycle time estimation. Ensure engineering documentation, work instructions, and technical records remain accurate and current. Manage engineering-related inventory and tooling resources. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts related to manufacturing and process issues. Oversee new product introduction activities, including process development and production readiness. Monitor and improve setup efficiency, cycle times, tooling utilization, and overall equipment effectiveness. Conduct process studies, equipment evaluations, and tooling trials to support operational improvements. Partner with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and engineering concerns. Promote and maintain a culture of workplace safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. Support lean manufacturing and workplace organization initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. Minimum of 6 years of experience in CNC manufacturing, precision machining, or a related manufacturing environment. Demonstrated leadership experience managing engineering teams and projects. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, machining operations, tooling, and process optimization. Preferred Qualifications Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods. Experience in highly regulated manufacturing environments such as aerospace, defense, medical device, or industrial manufacturing. Familiarity with ERP, MES, or manufacturing management systems.
