Job Description

Engineering Manager A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This position offers the opportunity to oversee engineering strategy, support manufacturing excellence, and lead a high-performing technical team in a fast-paced CNC manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead engineering operations while ensuring alignment with company goals, production objectives, quality standards, and safety initiatives
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and manufacturing process enhancements
  • Oversee engineering personnel through training, coaching, performance management, and employee development
  • Manage new part programming, job packets, tooling, setup documentation, and engineering records to ensure accuracy and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and process issues, improve cycle times and setups, and support production performance initiatives
  • Conduct time studies, tooling evaluations, and process audits to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with department managers and customers to resolve technical and engineering-related issues
  • Manage tooling inventory, monitor tooling costs, and support cost-effective manufacturing operations
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives through Plex software and ensure corrective actions are completed effectively
  • Train employees on machining practices, equipment operation, safety procedures, Plex software, and job documentation
  • Support and promote 5S initiatives to maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment
  • Perform NDT Level II Limited inspections as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required
  • 6+ years of CNC manufacturing experience required
  • Strong background in process engineering, G-code programming, tooling technology, machining operations, and manufacturing process improvement
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing, and precision measuring instruments
  • Previous leadership, employee development, and project management experience preferred
  • Experience with Plex software and manufacturing documentation systems preferred
  • NDT Level II Limited certification or experience is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, leadership, and organizational skills
